Current Employment Opportunities
Hill Learning Center is seeking an Instructional Assistant to begin in 2025. Instructional assistant (IA) will gain deeper knowledge through professional development and hands-on experience and further explore the field of education of students with learning differences. IA will work alongside experienced educators and participate in the delivery of research-based methodology in reading, written language, and math. The position is responsible for supporting teachers and the overall programming for students.

Faculty are required to attend four days of training and to deliver instruction to students for five weeks. All teachers are expected to assess student levels during the beginning of the program and implement a structured curriculum throughout the program. Formal reporting via bi-weekly emails and end-of-summer progress reports are required to provide feedback on student progress.

Our tutoring focuses on core skills and works toward building skill mastery. This is a dynamic opportunity to help students who face educational challenges and to improve their academic confidence. Applicants should be student focused and enthusiastic about implementing Hill’s proven methodology. We are seeking tutors who can provide a minimum of 8-10 hours per week of instruction. Hill Tutoring provides:
- Extensive training in Hill’s Orton-Gillingham-based Methodology
- Mentor support
- Ongoing Professional Development opportunities (earn CEUs)
- Supportive administrative team and collaborative colleagues
- Tutoring occurs 7 days per week, with flexible scheduling options
- Potential for high volume, 1:1 tutoring during school hours
- Year-round tutoring on Hill’s campus
- Supplies and materials provided (access to robust technology and tech support)
- Student matching and billing all done by Tutoring Admins
- Starting at $35/hour
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Due to higher demand, Hill is currently seeking experienced K-8 math instructors.

Meet Jeff Barger
“I call this place Education Disney World,” says Jeff Barger, a grin stretched across his face.
After retiring from 30 years of teaching in public schools, Mr. Barger joined Hill’s staff in the 2020-2021 school year and now teaches third- through fifth-grade reading and writing.
