Our Program
It’s all about reading, writing, math, and FUN at Hill Summer!
Join us for a summer educational experience, helping to keep up skills, fill-in learning gaps, and creating a community of learners for rising 1st-8th grade students. By learning in a 4:1 student-teacher ratio environment, students get the attention they need to build confidence and feel ready for the next school year.
Hill’s Orton-Gillingham based methodology teaches core reading skills, focusing on decoding, fluency, and comprehension.
Instruction is tailored to the individual learner, ensuring everyone gets what they need and encouraging confidence!
Hill’s writing methodology supports students as they build writing skills, including spelling and writing mechanics.
Summer teachers break down the writing process, supporting students through each stage.
Core math skills are taught using a multi-sensory approach to build and sustain math skills.
From accessing math facts, thinking flexibly about numbers, and problem solving, students gain practice and understanding that will support them during the school year.
Hill Summer is a program students look forward to every year, getting the opportunity to grow in an environment ideal for learning.
Add to that daily recess, no homework, popsicles, and community projects, and you’ve got an ideal summer waiting!
