On a mission to help students reach their full potential.

Established in 1977, Hill School is a half-day program providing academic instruction in a highly differentiated environment to students in grades 1-12. Designed for students with attention deficit disorders or specific learning differences in reading, writing, and math with average to above-average cognitive abilities, the 4:1 student-faculty ratio enables faculty to assist each child in realizing their potential by providing direct, individualized instruction daily in reading, writing, and math.

Alum Garrett Massengill

Garrett Massengill came to Hill Learning Center at the age of 12. Now, as a 24-year-old, Garrett reflects on his Hill experience with gratitude. He wants to support and encourage the next generation of Hill students and plans to become a student mentor.

As an elementary school student, Will struggled to focus on classwork and felt too anxious to raise his hand in front of his peers. After Will sustained a traumatic brain injury in 2000, he felt “lost as a person.” Seeing how much Will was struggling, his parents knew he needed a more personalized, supportive learning environment during his recovery.
