Technology
can provide a wide array of tools that help students access the curriculum.
Quality instruction is essential for student achievement, and teachers who
understand how technology best supports learning and eliminates access issues
are better equipped to implement low to high-tech interventions in the
classroom. Attendees will explore:
- Effective
instructional applications of technology
- Relationships
between learner challenges and specific technologies
- The
function of a range of low- to high-tech devices and their facilitative
capabilities
- Understandings
of the benefits and cautions of assistive technologies
- Ways
to access or acquire specific devices
